We are looking forward to your upcoming Nutrition consultation. Please plan for your visit to take approximately 60 minutes. To help you prepare for your visit, some important tips are listed below.

  • Get yourself comfortable: From what you are wearing to where you are sitting, be comfortable with your surroundings.
  • Questions: Write down any questions or things you know you want to discuss in advance.
  • Notes:  Have something with you to jot down notes! You will have access to our recommendations through your portal, but you might want to write some things down in your own words.
  • Choose a good location:  Please try to find a quiet place with good lighting for your session.
  • Nothing is off-limits: Come ready to learn and ask questions.
  • Be prepared to discuss your intake forms: Including items about your medical history,with your new provider. On that note, make sure you have completed all of your intake forms for your provider! That way, you get to dive right into your session.
  • Labs results: If you had labs done by your physician or midwife, please upload them to the portal prior to your appointment. You can use your Partum Health App to do so by clicking the “Documents” tab. To add an image, tap the “+” sign in the top right corner of your screen. Labs your nutritionist would like to see include:
    Nutrients (Iron, Vitamin D, B12, etc.)
    Diabetes testing
    Lipid Panel
    Gut testing
    Hormones
    Thyroid
  • Eating habits: Your session might include things like talking through your typical eating habits, any fear of foods, determining your goals, and setting expectations.
