Daisy Ortiz is an artist, mother, and birth worker deeply humbled by the transformative magic of birth. As the daughter of a nanny with over 40 years of experience, Daisy has been involved in caring for children and families from a young age. Her own decade-long experience as a primary care nanny naturally led her to birth work. Originally from Chicago and recently returned after over a decade of traveling around the world, where she continues to immerse herself in her passions.
Daisy has been an apprentice midwife for the past two years, studying under traditional midwives in Merida, Yucatán. This hands-on training has deepened her understanding of birth and expanded her ability to support families through this profound transition.
Daisy is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to all underserved communities. She values and respects cultural traditions, and it is her joy to learn about and honor your cultural practices. She is committed to making her services accessible to everyone who seeks them.
