Elizabeth (Liz) Gonzalez is a postpartum doula based in Chicago, IL. She was trained by Partum Health during their inaugural EMBRACE Full-Spectrum Doula Training.
Liz is a mother to 6-year-old boy/girl twins, and had a unique birth experience: delivering her daughter vaginally and her son via Cesarean section.
Liz previously worked at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, first as a Health Educator and then as a Program Coordinator. As Program Coordinator for the Connect Home Visiting Chicago program, she supported pregnant people and families with young children by connecting them to home visiting and community doula programs via coordinated intake.
She holds a Master of Public Health degree with a focus in community health practice from DePaul University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education from Illinois State University.
Liz is passionate about maternal child health, birth justice, and support during the early childhood years.
I hope to bring a mix of my personal and professional experiences to the families I support during their postpartum period.
"It takes a village", and I look forward to becoming part of yours.
