Bio

JacDell (Jade) Chance is a Birth and Postpartum Doula. She is also a maternal nutrition chef who focuses on pain management and wellness. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Jade has over a decade of experience in childbirth support.

She has trained with DONA International, The Center for Childbearing Year, Sacred Path Doula Training, and Vida Cimarrona Birthwork Collective. Jade combines evidence-based birth support with holistic healing practices. She helps new mothers recover, nourish their bodies, and navigate the transition into parenthood.

Jade combines her culinary arts graduate skills with her training in postpartum care to nourish new mothers. She has a deep understanding of how nourishment plays a vital role in postpartum recovery. She supports families one-on-one and educates communities on the importance of prioritizing the first 40 days of postpartum care.

Jade advocates for systemic change, and ensures new parents have the knowledge and resources to thrive. She empowers families to rewrite the narrative around postpartum support. She shifts the culture from neglect to nurturance.

Jade’s mission is to help new mothers feel seen, supported, and cared for during one of the most transformative times in their lives. She carries out this mission by providing hands-on postpartum assistance, meal preparation, lactation support, and community education.

As a mother of five beautiful children with four birthing experiences, Jade knows what she is doing. When she is not supporting birthing mothers, Jade enjoys coloring, developing recipes, and traveling.

Message to new parents

I am deeply committed to maternal health and ensuring that every family—regardless of background—receives the postpartum care they deserve. By providing compassionate, evidence-based support, I strive to help new parents heal, thrive, and reduce disparities that too often impact maternal well-being during the postpartum period.
