Jahlisa offers reassurance and perspective, makes suggestions for labor progress, and helps with relaxation, massage, positioning, and other techniques for comfort.
Jahlisa is a professional aunt to 30+ nieces and nephews, a title she holds most dear. Raised on the south side of Chicago by her “sacred village,” including her beloved maternal grandmother Janie B, Jahlisa strives to honor her legacy in her work caring for mothers and families. When she is not attending to birth work, she finds joy in cooking, crafting, learning about plant care, and spending time with her family.
