Laura Figueroa

Laura Figueroa is a dedicated postpartum doula based in Chicago, IL. She began her professional caregiving career as a full-time nanny, a role she enjoyed for over 12 years. During that time, almost every family she worked with welcomed at least one baby, which helped her discover her passion for supporting new mothers in healing from birth and bonding with their infants. Laura realized that her true calling was in helping babies and new families thrive.

After welcoming two preemie babies of her own in the last four years, Laura decided to pursue postpartum doula work. Her personal experiences have given her a deep understanding of the challenges new parents face in the early days of adjusting to life with a newborn. Laura knows firsthand how difficult it can be to handle the unexpected turns that come with new parenthood and is committed to helping families feel more at ease and navigate those early months with confidence.

Laura’s approach as a postpartum doula is rooted in empathy and practical support. She aims to provide a calming presence and reliable guidance to new families, drawing on her extensive experience and personal journey. Her goal is to help parents build confidence and create a nurturing environment where both the parents and the baby can thrive.

On weekends, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and two children by taking little road trips, spending time outdoors, and visiting family. She also loves engaging in DIY projects, finding joy in creating and building. Laura’s dedication to her family and her hands-on approach to life enrich her doula practice, making her a trusted and compassionate support for the families she serves.
