Neketa Joseph

Neketa Joseph is a community doula servicing Dallas and surrounding areas. Her passion for families with young children began in 2014 when she started working with a church nursery, and that fostered her journey to becoming a nanny and later down the road a preschool teacher and assistant director.

Neketa began teaching preschool in 2018, and during that time her focus was on newborns to 6 weeks. There she realized how important that first year is not only for babies but the parents as well. Most of them were losing sleep on things that just having a supportive extra hand could really be for both. From then on, Neketa only nannied for children under the age of 3 because she saw and understood the need for that extra help emotionally and physically. Neketa started her professional doula journey in April 2023 and received her certification from Paradigm Doulas in October of 2023.

Neketa's passion and reason for becoming a doula is to advocate the need for extra support in the birthing world. Her goal is to help all birthing people get the education, physical and emotional support that they desire as the transition into parenthood begins. When she is not wearing her doula hat, Neketa enjoys going fishing, trying out new recipes and spending time with her family.
