Partum is expanding to Houston!

We are excited to share that we are bringing our comprehensive pregnancy and postpartum care model to Texas, starting with the Houston market!

Starting today, women and their families will have access to our full range of interdisciplinary care, including lactation support, pelvic floor physical therapy, mental health counseling, nutrition support, and doula care. Our services are available both virtually and in-person; they are focused on addressing and preventing the most common complications of pregnancy, including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, pelvic floor dysfunction, and avoidable C-sections.

Our mission is to raise the standard of care for birthing people and their families in the United States. More women lose their lives due to pregnancy-related complications here than in any other developed country, and the majority of these deaths occur within the first year after childbirth. 

The need for improved maternal care is particularly acute in Texas. A recent report from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, as of October 2023, revealed that 90% of the state's pregnancy-related deaths are preventable, with pregnancy-related mental disorders listed as the second leading cause of these tragic outcomes. The Commission's primary recommendation for achieving better outcomes is to enhance care coordination and expand access to comprehensive health services.

Our co-founder & CEO, Meghan Doyle, stated: "Partum was created to help fill the critical gap in support for maternal health and well-being, particularly during the vulnerable postpartum period. We selected Texas as our second launch market because we see tremendous opportunities to address patient and provider needs across the state. Our goal is to improve outcomes for patients by partnering with OBs and midwives to provide complementary, interdisciplinary care to their patients."

Our commitment to improving maternal care extends beyond Houston. In 2024, we have plans to enter additional markets within Texas. We acknowledge the financial barriers that often hinder access to quality healthcare, and as we continue to grow, we are determined to increase the number of in-network insurance providers that cover our services.
